Creating spaces for minority girls to flourish
Pop-up workshops hosted in collaboration with another program. Mentees have the opportunity to explore one of our signature workshop topics from the curriculum with a facilitator. Perfect for conferences, seminars & youth enrichment days. Pop-ups allow a larger number of girls to receive services without having to make a program commitment. These workshops cater to 6-18 years old.
Mentees commit to a year of service and programming. This program is sponsored at a local community site. Meeting twice a month during the school year. Summer involvement schedule varies. Mentees participate in service learning projects, community service hours and field trips along with curriculum exploration. Mentees with 90% participation in our program will attend college visits, and the Dollhouse Sisterhood Retreat. Graduating mentees will be honored at Dollhouse Annual Trunk party.
Range from 2 week courses - the duration of a school year. Mentees work closer with a club mentor through our curriculum. This program is designed to be integrated alongside both the school calendar & summer months. This program allows mentees to develop a report with mentor while actively working on self improvement skills and participating in group activities which exercise social emotional & advocacy skills.
Dollhouse Cares is our little sister program which is geared towards younger girls age 6-10. Girls work on social emotional skills, learn positive self esteem habits and how to be be good friends all through the form of Art’s & Craft . Workshops are lead by facilitators & DH Mentees.
